Education is the way to a better future.

The Kabale Education Fund was established in June, 2010 as a United States 501-C not for profit charity organization. Our mission is to support the Catholic education of children & young adults in the Kabale Catholic Diocese in Uganda. St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Camas, Washington was blessed to have Father Justus Kiiza as a visiting priest in 2006 while he pursued a Masters degree in Business Administration at the University of Portland. He had been sent by his ordinary of Kabale Diocese, Bishop Callist Rubaramira so he could take charge of the diocesan finances after his studies. Fr. Justus continues to visit Washington State nearly every year. As we came to know and love Father Justus, we learned about the great challenges faced by the people of Kabale. In particular, we were moved by the need for schools. Father Justus believes that education is the way to a better future for his people. The Kabale Education Fund is our response to that need.

For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.
